All objects in the Perception/Reality body of work have been constructed out of concrete, a noticeably contradicting material when considering the objects presented. The choice of material causes an immediate reaction when touching or interacting with the work. A seemingly light and fluffy pillow or a table covered in soft, draped fabric is upon further investigation hard and unyielding. The work comes to life in the moment when it asks the viewer to contemplate the ideas of perception and the reality presented
